I vividly remember watching the 1987 Rome World Championships on television. I’d never seen anything so amazing as Ben Johnson’s running of that 100 meters. The world later realized that he must have been on steroids at the time. I remain conflicted over the whole thing. Johnson’s running of that race was a thing of great beauty. Does the beauty disappear because it wasn’t “natural”?

well said, Cindy. to a slightly different point, steroids have been banned in baseball and football for various amounts of time, but hgh hasn’t, because there is not test for it, and neither organization keeps samples to test against in the future.

I wonder if professional athletes are using steriods or hgh?
