“In Xanadu did Kubla Khan . . . “
. . . this is not.
Harry Potter author JK Rowling has revealed how she dreamed she was in the world of the young wizard – and has blamed it on drinking too much coffee.
The Edinburgh-based writer, who is currently busy writing the final book of the series, said she had an epic dream a few nights ago in which she became both Harry and the narrator.
She said she was working extremely hard on book seven, which left her at different times either elated or overwrought.

I bet Sly Stallone had a similar experience writing the upcoming Rocky movie, except substitute pride for coffee.
Yep. Pride is a mighty powerful intoxicant, after all.
What I love about the Rowling story . . .
Well, not that I have any reason to doubt her veracity, but it is a well-timed and apt little tidbit to drop when it comes to maintaining the building anticipation for the upcoming finale [?] to the Potter saga.
And, of course, she (or her publicist) does not attribute the ‘epic dream’ to the use of any il-licit substance.
