Balkan Flocker

impersonating_burroughs.jpg

Hello people – I’ve been following ‘the flock’ since its infancy (beneficiary of its information) through ‘elimae’ via Coop (the Shepherd?) from the Balkans (strange crossroads of the world notorious for starting wars).
Samos – Greece to be precise.
I’m a visual artist – collage, mixed media, and photography. Mostly recycling junk. Rauschenberg / Twombly, but would prefer a head space like Agnes Martin.
I like the view outside my window – seeing is believing.
The sea
Things the way they were built here a couple of hundred years ago – quality.
Impersonating William Burroughs (the photo; if i can get it on here).
Writing esoteric stuff that not many people can be bothered to read – I won’t burden this space, have a personal blog for that.
Anything I can learn on a computer – discovered this toy late in life.
Oh and listening to the woodworm having relations with my sculpture, though in fairness he was resident before I rearranged its value.

Really glad to be here.
thank you

I love your detail here about “listening to the woodworm having relations with my sculpture.” Little editors working in the subtext! And the world you describe must be grand; it’s inspiring even from this vantage point, far away in Texas. I’m looking forward to seeing all that you will present here. Cheers– D

    Hey, you made it! Welcome.

And the rest of you ‘flockers should go into the “elimae” archives for 2005 and 2006 to find some of Alek’s poems.

I just about can’t think of you, Alek, without conjuring up images of Lysistratus, fish scales, and obols.

    Welcome.
