Deaccessioning Guidelines

Since I know what’s worth keeping and what’s worth pitching (I went to Archives School), I’ve been granted carte blanche by the co-curator of the Martin-Ryan Research Library and Curio Emporium to weed away as I pack up the collection. He had one friendly reminder: that I hang on to “anything having to do with the Greeks, Nietzsche, Blake, Shakespeare, or the IRS.”

Great guidelines. Also keep anything relating to: Hardy, Yeats, Ernst Machs.

    Oh, yes, and crullers.

Crullers really aren’t in keeping with our institutional collecting policy. If you have any spare works of Sylvia Townsend Warner lying about, perhaps we might trade?
