Meet the Flockers’ Pets (Sheila): Lena
I have already praised Lena for her aesthetic sensibility and her generosity. Here is the creature herself.

Pocket Tigress (Lena). May 2006.
Added as a special treat for Lena’s admirers:

she’s gorgeous!
On Lena’s behalf, I thank you, Deron.
I may have a few more glamour shots in a Flickr photo set; I’ll have to check.
A wise cat, by the looks of her. Sage in her gaze and regal in a gypsy way.
Daryl, you are clearly a connoisseur of cats. True on all counts.
She is also an outstanding athlete and possesses a surprising flair for physical comedy.
she looks and sounds a regular princess would you convey to her my admiration
Thank you, Alek. I have done as you asked, and Lena accepted your admiration graciously.
Hello, Animal.
Now that the formalities are out of the way, I’m going to pick you up and give you kisses.
(Er, Sheila, would please pick her up and give her kisses on my behalf? Thank you.)
I’m with Daniel, that animal is gorgeous!
“What” kind of cat is she? (If there is an answer.)
Lena’s origins are shrouded in mystery. She resembles none of the barn cats (nor their feral cousins) in the neighborhood. I used to imagine all manner of fanciful things, but I’ve just given up.
I will tell you this, though. You should see her when she’s wearing her winter coat, as she is now. (Actually, she’s looking a little ratty right now because it’s been very very dry as well as cold; else I’d take a current snap. But she sports a truly spectacular mane, or ruff, in the winter.)
Daniel, I’ll give her something even better than kisses for you. I’ll stroke her head, which she loves more than anything.
