Meet The Flockers: Vin Reddy
I’d like to thank Deron for letting me join Clusterflock. I hope I’ll be able to contribute in a worthwhile manner, or at least find validation for all the time I spend goofing around on the internet.
I was born and raised in Poplar Bluff, a small rural town in Southeastern Missouri. I and my two older sisters are first generation Indian-Americans. Our parents moved to the US in 1968 from India (by way of Scotland) for my dad to pursue medical training in America. I am still not quite sure how we ended up in Poplar Bluff, though.
I went to undergrad and med school at University of Missouri-Columbia and completed my internship and radiology residency at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in Pittsburgh, PA. I am currently finishing a year of subspecialty training in radiology in Pittsburgh, but will soon be relocating to Columbus, Ohio where I’ll be joining a private practice radiology group.
Other information and interests:
• I am recently married—my wife is also a radiologist (we met at a radiology conference.) Pretty nerdy, but it makes for a good story.
• Cars—not just the vehicles, but also the industry, the technology, the politics and their effect on our culture. I also just love driving fast.
• Travel—I’m going to be taking my first trip to Europe this summer, so any advice or tips is greatly appreciated.
• Music (especially jazz.)
• Food (I’ve recently been eating a lot of Middle Eastern and Ethiopian food lately, but I’m not sure why.)
• Podcasts—the new radio.
• Blog
• Flickr

Welcome to the Flock, Vin!
Poplar Bluff, eh? Durn. Just up the road from Fairdealing, yes?
By the way, our fellow Flocker Cooper Renner is Europe-bound (May and June), and his now up-and-running website features a few words about his plans.
Welcome, officially, Vin.
hey man, welcome aboard! and glad to hear of your love for cars.
my son (from now on known as ‘the squirt’) is training me to be a rally driver to fill in the gap until he gets his license; can’t say i’m not kind of into driving fast and bendy.
well its only an ibiza.
welcome
Welcome, Vin! Perhaps one day we can discuss the virtues of okra and trade frightening stories about life within an academic medical center.
So, I’m guessing you’re not related to Helen.
Wow, Vin — I love the first Flickr shot of you and your dad! Take a look, folks!
Welcome, sir.
Welcome, Vin.
I have the cutest picture of you at a piano recital when you were, like, eight. Now just look at ya! All grown up and educated!
