The Only Home of Throwed Rolls®

Lambert’s Cafe. Sikeston, Missouri.
According to them as should know, “the first roll was thrown in 1976 by Norman Lambert.”
I’m kind of sorry that I didn’t think of this before Andrew Simone moved from St. Louis back to Jersey. Lambert’s would have been a swell choice for a summit of Midwestern Flockers, though a bit of a drive for John Buass (Kansas), Brian Beatty (Minnesota), Daniel Lestarjette (Chicago) . . . .
Which leads me to the question: Who among you consider yourselves Midwesterners? (I’ve always been a little confused about Ohio, for instance. Kansas, too, come to think of it.)

my mom’s midwestern, but I ain’t.
No, son, I reckon you ain’t.
An aside with respect to Lambert’s: If “throwed rolls” ain’t enough to lure you, how ’bout the Pork Selections?
I grew up about an hour from Sikeston and I have many fond memories of the restaurant. Good eats!
I regret never making it there (one day!).
I often heard of this place when I lived in Branson but never made it.
“My” part of Kansas is a mixture of western-Southern and Midwest, if we’re speaking of dialects.
For what it’s worth: There is a Lambert’s in Foley, Alabama (a little town to the east of Mobile).
