Good Pot
Because I’ve been ‘too busy’ to get to it, I paid to have my pots planted this year. Laurie did a nice job. I can’t wait to see them fill in and mature over the summer. Yesterday, when stepping out of the garage to cross the patio to the house, this hibiscus blossom smacked me in the eyes and hollered “Hey! Lookit me!” (Her voice was Lauren Bacall’s, but her accent was Cindy Lauper’s.)

People are starting to look at me funny because I’m trying to say, “You know how to whistle” in a throaty contralto I try to wrench into that Betty Boop-ish licorice twist of Cindy Lauper’s.
I’m thinking I know exactly what you’re saying, but damned if I can say a goldurned thang in a Cindy Lauper-tinged Lauren Bacall voice.
