		<description>Oh, yes! Reminds me of a tuber resembling Richard Nixon that was spotlighted years ago in &quot;Our Own Oddities&quot;, a regional &quot;Believe It or Not&quot; feature that appeared in the &lt;i&gt;St. Louis Post-Dispatch&lt;/i&gt;.

. . . and while we&#039;re on the topic of tubers . . . Mr. Potato Head was an unlikely enough toy back in the Wayback Days when you inserted the plastic features into a real potato, but the inclusion of a &lt;i&gt;plastic&lt;/i&gt; potato in the Potato Head set makes &lt;i&gt;my&lt;/i&gt; head reel. Surely it must seem extremely odd to anyone unfamiliar with the toy&#039;s vegetable origins.

(Don&#039;t even get me started on The Game of Cootie and the stylistic evolution of the plastic cooties.)
