I have not seen:
Any of the Godfather Movies (save a bit of one the other day)
Raging Bull
The Shining
Goodfellas
Harry Potter Movies
Lord of the Rings
Star Trek Movies (except the one with the whales)
And alot more
Braveheart. Don’t want to see it–and there are other movies sort of like that that aren’t so bad. It’s just that whole Mel Gibson in a fucking kilt thing, and blue face paint–I can’t take it.
Well, now, isn’t that interesting. India’s observation that she’d seen a mere 5 of the Netflix Top 100 piqued my curiosity, so I checked it out. Here is the first thing I noted: Crash is Número Uno. Now I have seen Crash — but not that Crash. The other Crash. The David Cronenberg Crash. The one based on the J. G. Ballard novel. The film just about nobody likes. I liked it.
I don’t try to be contrary. Seems I was just born that way and had a relapse.
Wow. My list would be long. I join some of you others in not having seen Goodfellas, or any of the Godfathers, or Titanic. I also haven’t seen Taxi Driver or Blow Up or Crash or No Country for Old Men or Barry Lyndon or Clockwork Orange or. . . But I have seen The North Avenue Irregulars and, probably more often than any other, The Other, which I saw repeatedly while in college, back in the days when one actually had to go to a theater to see movies. Weird, no?
I have yet to see The Darjeeling Limited. Wanted to, almost went a couple of times. Somehow, something prevented it. I live with folks who watch a lot of movies. Honestly I can say I haven’t seen most of them. But I’ve been in the room when they were on.
Sheila, I’ve seen that Crash too. I rented it one weekend when I had the house to myself. I liked it too. A lot.
Clockwork Orange
The Darjeeling Limited
Citizen Kane
Harold and Maud
The Shining
Seven Samurai
Breakfast at Tiffany’s
Sideways (I get asked that all the time, considering I have been working in the industry, retail and otherwise, for years.)
People seem surprised when I tell them I haven’t seen The Titanic. I have absolutely no desire to see that film.
I’ve never seen any Star Wars movie.

What Brandon said.
Yep, I’ve not seen Titanic either. Nor Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. I know there are a couple others that are big.
I saw The Titanic. At the end, the ship sinks.
What Sean and Brandon said.
But, really, what have I seen? Looking over the Netflix Top 100, I find that I’ve watched only . . . five.
Braveheart. Don’t want to see it–and there are other movies sort of like that that aren’t so bad. It’s just that whole Mel Gibson in a fucking kilt thing, and blue face paint–I can’t take it.

Thanks a lot, Michael–you just ruined it for me.
