    Kinda too bad, though, about “it is what it is”.

    There’s a great exchange in the film Boogie Nights wherein Burt Reynolds’s porn magnate walks past the jaded cameraman (played by Ricky Jay) as the latter is editing.

    “How is it?”

    “It is what it is.”

    One of those things you’ve got to see to appreciate.
