Rudy Giuliani: Up Then Down But Not Out

Rudolph ‘n’ Bernard: friends 4 ever?

Aventura, FL — New York City’s former mayor Rudy Giuliani reassured Miami-Dade County supporters on Sunday that he was “revved up”, “still in the race”, and “racing to win.” Despite Mr. Giuliani’s feisty defiance ahead of Florida’s Jan. 29 primary election, emerging signs suggest the 2008 presidential campaign’s early but now fading frontrunner is almost out of time, funding, and fresh metaphors.

“It’s not over yet,” the charismatic and sometimes-philandering candidate told a small but enthusiastic crowd outside a Denny’s restaurant in northeastern suburban Miami. “I haven’t even started. Yes, other candidates have started, but not me. Why? Because my experience handling the aftermath of 9/11 means I can protect this country from terrorism, that’s why.”

“I can protect this country from terrorism…” What??? Like you protected New York City from terrorism on the morning of 9-11-2001??? You’re a one-note candidate.

Where do you stand on every day issues? What are you going to do about the high cost of health insurance? What are you going to do to support the growth of the solar energy industry? How are you going to fix the dumbing down of our public education? What is your position on Cradle-to-Cradle product design? What is your position on nuclear energy?

If you ever want to draw terrorists to the US just build more nuclear power plants. Any politician who supports nuclear power should be made to tour the Chernobyl disaster.
