Me neither, aside from those exceptions that only bolster my distaste for the nineteenth century generally.

And the 17th and 18th centuries don’t excite me beyond endurance.

which begs the question, favorite and least favorite decade. for me the best decade was the 70s and the worst was the 80s.

Deron: Does it have to be a decade you personally remember? If not, I think the 1940s kind of sucked. I’m sure we can all plug in many reasons, but one reason that sticks with me is the fact that after WWII Americans could have come together in important ways, but instead largely insisted on maintaining the old lack of civil rights for African Americans–while also urging the little lady to head back to the kitchen where a splendidly modern time-saving stove was waiting for her.

    I don’t like decades.

A clusterflock band in its Over the Drumset incarnation could do worse than feature Cindy singing “I Don’t Like Decades”.

Daryl: anything that comes to mind. I picked two from my time-frame that worked and didn’t work for me, but I’ll second your suggestion.

Miss Sheila, I don’t doubt that we could do worse–and would, given the chance.

The 20th century was the one that sucked.
