Charity

The phone rang a minute ago–a reminder to put a box of things out front for a charity truck that will stop in the morning to pick it up. Mia asked me who called. “Some people who pick things up and take them to poor people,” I told her. “Mimmy (Cindy) likes to help all the people who need things but can’t afford them. Mia nodded. “Grandma does that too,” she said. “She put a yellow bag out with cans of food in it. I think the Boy Scouts are poor too.”
