Making beautiful music together
I finally got around to listening to this week’s podcast produced by my colleagues: Crossing Melodies: Gregorian chant meets Judeo-Iraqi songs of prayer in Miami. The snips of music really are gorgeous. Go listen.

Some glorious sounds here. Thank you, India. I like choir director Patrick Quigley’s observations about how he is not creating some “mumbo-jumbo fusion”. And his take on tradition: quite to the point, and borne out by what we hear of the performers’ work-in-progress.
