Ooh, somewhere recently I saw a photo of this staircase shot from above. It reminded me of the rabbit hole down which Alice fell. I want one, too.

It’s beautiful, but I too wonder about having to crouch and look for things. I tip over easily.
The first thing I think of is how often you’d have to dust those stairs. If I had this I’d make sure people took off their shoes first.
