Beans.
Helpfully, cinnamon.
Tears. A tiny sliver of my left thumb. A story that has a lot of swears in it. A pinch each of stubble and shaving powder.
Chunks of chuck, not ground. Easy on the tomatoes. Crumbled toasted corn tortillas instead of masa.
Scotch.
LOVE. (Don’t you just want to barf, now?)
No, really, that’s all I got.
I guess I’ll post mine now…
Espresso, Mackeson XXX
Maple syrup
A dash of Lea & Perrins Worcestershire Sauce. Try it.
Lime juice. Sounds strange, I know, but it’s great in black bean chili.
Squir– I mean, soy nuggets. Yeah, that’s the ticket. And lots of cumin of course.
Damn it, Daryl, I’m out here and I’m watching you.
I came very close to running over a squirrel the other day, and I thought Daryl was going to die laughing. Then he almost hit a squirrel yesterday, and I swear he would have hit it if I hadn’t been in the car.
Poor, sweet little squirrels, all happy because it’s Spring.
I’d love to say spackle, but then I’d feel bad if someone really tried spackling their chili and then died.
I don’t eat chili.
Cooper doesn’t eat much of anything, y’all. He’s got the funny stomach. If you ever want a good laugh, sit with him in a bookstore cafe and get him to describe his diet to you. I once laughed so hard at this–especially at his explanation of why the now-defunct children’s delicacy Lunch Buckets made for a fine meal choice–I like to died.
semi-sweet dark chocolate
chipotle peppers in adobo sauce. say it five times fast!
