I can’t pretend to speak for any other fingernail famoso, but it is more a case of seeing someone you know — an actual person — in the nail itself. It is not unlike finding the Virgin Mary on a saltine in Florida.
I’m no scientist, but I think it’s a based partly on the shape of the free edge of the nail in relation to the person’s smile.
