Leonardo’s Parachute

In 1485, Leonardo da Vinci designed a parachute. Last Saturday, Olivier Vietti-Teppa, a 36 year old Swiss parachutest, made a successful 2,100 foot jump using the design. Vietti-Teppa is the first to successfully land the Leonardo parachute. Apparently, the parachute is impossible to maneuver. Vietti-Teppa said, “You come down at the whim of the wind.”
