Many others within the Flickr pool were appealing in certain ways . . . but those ways struck me often as not as inviting trite, smirking looks at 'retro' fashions and customs. This image I found touching and lovely, redolent of a time when a home-baked cake served to celebrate the anniversary of a child's birth. And I am altogether taken with the photo Daryl posted on your behalf. Oh, I’m glad you like this photo, Cindy.
