I wanted to be amazing

Bonnie Richardson was the only person from her high school to qualify for the 1A state track meet, and she won the title. She won the high jump, placed second in the long jump, third in discus, won the 200 meters, and nearly pulled off an upset in the 100.

    This is a great story–and I like your nod to the Lish story! I wonder how Bonnie felt when everybody turned and headed for their cars to go home. I wish her much happiness.
