Talented Saws and Bruises
This is a song from an album I wrote and recorded with In Mountains In Stars just before I left Brooklyn.
It has not been mastered, only mixed, and has not been released.
Talented Saws and Bruises
her only business was yours
I never knew the power of gold before
a wool coat is lined with silk
doves float above her head
she wore a bruise
talented saws repeat their gestures
must your heart grow so dull
men and angels watch the years gather
to cool our once warm beds
separate from your company
mountains I don’t wish to see
she would not quit on you
she just wants to feel her body move
