This shot was the final in the series as my brother (<em>pictured</em>) guided it towards the door, aided by the "brave" farm dogs (<em>not pictured, hiding nervously in corner</em>). Witnesses on the scene said that it "reeked of death" and "hissed and shrieked when we got close". Calls to the vulture's representation weren't returned. Michael:

Midwesterners (and others) are still wondering how a <a href="http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/local/northwest/chi-cougar-dna-wisconsin-web-may01,1,5734121.story" rel="nofollow">cougar</a> found its way from the Black Hills of South Dakota to the 3400 North block of Chicago's Hoyne Avenue (four blocks from a building where I rented office space five years ago). How the vulture found its way into the dyeing kitchen is indeed a mystery.
