thoughts, questions, original art and content and links to stuff we think is of interest; a group blog dedicated to pretty much everything. by people you would like to meet at a party; proof of intelligent life on the planet; inhabited by Internet hunter gatherers in the pre-apocalyptic realm; a destination that offers constellations of stimulating links to popular (and not so popular) culture; a group blog dedicated to culture: art, design, music, food, architecture, science, travel, movies, books, typography, politics, etc.; inclusive of geezers!; a delightful mixture of orange words and pictures of well, the insides of a stuffed animal–delightful all the same; the social network I never thought I’d join.

Michael:

Apparently it was. This shot was the final in the series as my brother (pictured) guided it towards the door, aided by the "brave" farm dogs (not pictured, hiding nervously in corner).

Witnesses on the scene said that it "reeked of death" and "hissed and shrieked when we got close". Calls to the vulture's representation weren't returned.

Sheila, I'm also partial to turkey vultures. We're birds of a feather, I guess.

How the vulture found its way into the dyeing kitchen is indeed a mystery.

Midwesterners (and others) are still wondering how a cougar found its way from the Black Hills of South Dakota to the 3400 North block of Chicago's Hoyne Avenue (four blocks from a building where I rented office space five years ago).

Think it's a black vulture (Fr.: urubu noir), not a turkey vulture. I'm partial to turkey vultures myself, but I like a black vulture, too.

I think it's time to drop the Christopher Walken stuff and make Garrett a regular member of the flock. Where else are we going to get vultures in dye kitchens--categorized as religion, no less?
