TV Repair Shop (San Miguel, Philippines)

The Fiery Scotsman (AKA haggis basher), he shoots some fine photos, he does. They’re here. Take some time and browse the archives. (And thank Balkan ‘flocker Alek Lindus, not me, for the introduction.)

A window into a life utterly unlike our “American life”. Lovely.
thanks for posting this, Sheila.
Thanks for the plus Sheila.
I can spend several days at home, developing film, working on some images or pottering about the garden. Then I’ll decide to walk down to the market and take some pictures, its then it hits me just where I live!! Inside my garden is an isolated world, outside people are struggling.
Rice has risen 3 fold in price this year, fuel goes up by 2 cents a week and has been all year. Salary’s haven’t changed in the 5 years I’ve been there.
Its a strange mixture of paradise and hell living in the Philippines, but it beats Scotland (Lochaber).
