Vertical House
When I saw this rendering, my first thought was, I’ve had dreams about living in a house like this (not hopes, the kind you have when you’re sleeping). This is the first comment from the post: I had a dream, once, about living in a vertical-type structure on the edge of a river.

Absolutely gorgeous. I used to fantasize (in my small scale) about a 20 foot cube “tower”–two floors, each 20×20, with a flat rooftop for sitting out upon.
not bad, huh? I love the idea of vertical space, and, as you mention, open spaces atop a structure, preferably with a bit of garden.
