Load-a-Month Club

You know, what I would really like for father’s day is a dump truck load of compost. And maybe a load of lava sand, a load of gravel, a load of composted cow manure. Load of cypress mulch and a load of edging stone blocks…. Oh–and each load should come with a squad of well paid day laborers who also like to take breaks and drink beer in the shade.

    Ya’ll are welcome to come help as soon as I get this gift for father’s day. Doesn’t look like it’s going to happen though. I usually just go to Home Depot and get a dozen bags of dirt and some peat moss. Although I also recently bought 10 bags of gravel and some plastic edging to put around my outside AC units; they say it helps keep them clean and the air clean that’s coming in through them. I just think if they are always selling 12-month “flower of the month” Mothers’ Day packages, they may as well also have a load of garden crap each month kind of deal for fathers. Or at least a case of a different brand of beer each month. That would be a pretty good deal.
