Pinch Me

I just saw a television commercial for a prescription sleep-aid that included this phrase, spoken in that soothing voice they all use: “If you walk, eat, or drive while sleeping, contact your doctor.” Drive? Isn’t that a little like saying “If you happen to murder somebody while taking our product, contact your doctor”?

From what I’ve read, there’s an alarming amount of people who get pulled over (or in accidents) while “sleep driving.”

Washington Post had a story about this issue last year.

Wow–thanks for the link, Garrison. I guess it’s just that the commercial seemed to present this as a little side effect one shouldn’t worry too much about–not likely to happen and something the good doctor will fix for you when it does. They are probably working on a pill that makes you go out while sleeping to vote for more tax breaks for pharmaceutical companies.

kind of like the commentator at the olympics…

Boxing Analyst: “Sure there have been injuries, and even some deaths in boxing, but none of them really that serious.”
