Tattoo

Camera-phone snap. 31 May 2008.

Branded 1980 by Larry, Atwood Avenue, Madison, Wisconsin. Admired 1990 in Athens by partisans of PASOK, the Panhellenic Socialist Movement (Πανελλήνιο Σοσιαλιστικό Κίνημα), whose party symbol it resembles. [Discreetly covered whilst visiting Royalist strongholds in the southernmost Peloponnese.] Refreshed circa 2003-2004 in Chicago.

I expect I’ll regret you
But the skin-graft man won’t get you
You’ll be there when I die

Sorry Sheila and all but the above comment shouldn’t be there! It has nothing to do with this although the photography is rather beautiful.

With regards to this photo…love your tattoo Sheila…..and thank you for linking my photo. Sadly it won’t be there much longer as a new web site is shortly to be launched. However this photo of the PASOK logo will be lingering a while. Not so sharp but still green!

I have no Political Affiliations but if I did I’m sure I’d base them on something as trivial as a nice Logo and pretty colours!…sort of sits right in my head.

Ah, I’d not gotten round to investigating the new site — though I have written myself a note (on the back of my left hand).

Did you honestly intend, in this photo, to have your tattoo nearly exactly reverse the flame-stitch fabric in the chair you’re sitting in? To quote Andrew, “Brilliant!”

Let’s just say that I was looking to get lucky and that I did.
