Christopher Hitchens Describes Being Waterboarded

At last, a high profile figure has submitted to being waterboarded.  It’s no surprise to me that it was Christopher Hitchens.  Dick Cheney, who insists that this is not a form of torture, doesn’t have the guts.

See the Vanity Fair video, with a link to Hitchens’s related article, here.

So if waterboarding is really torture, shouldn’t these Vanity Fair-sponsored torturers be brought up on criminal charges?

The difference, Pete, is that Hitchens volunteered to test it. So one may as well ask: shouldn’t those lawyers who showed the pornography to jurors in an obscenity case be charged with…showing porn?

Pete, I hope you were being facetious. If not, see above.

Maybe he was, and maybe he wasn’t, Deron. Only way to know for sure is to waterboard him.

By the way, what would you like him to have been?
