Alexander Calder in an interview circa 1955:

Q: When do you know when to stop?

A: When it’s time for dinner.

    (overheard on NPR this morning)

There’s wisdom. In fact, I know of at least one person to whom I wish I could impart it.

I love love love Charles and Ray Eames products. I have been an owner of their stuff since I bought my first piece (a Plywood chair) from my website of choice (Officedesigns.com) 4 years ago. Since then, my home has become a museum of Eames’ artwork. It’s really interesting to get their perspective on stuff. Their furniture is so comfortable, I forget there is an artistic background to them…
