Samuella Beckett and Companion

Samuella Beckett and Bob
White Polish hen and Crèvecœur rooster
A fine pair of fowl, yes? (And: Beckett’s beak and shock of white hair, no?)
From Ruth Mowry’s Flying, which I discovered by way of Alek Lindus, the enigma janitor.

I dreamed once of a doberman that jumped through a window and fell cascading into a pile of black ribbons. Only, I see now it was this rooster all along.
Please please recreate your dream, on film (still or moving) or video or . . . what-have-you. That is a spellbinding image.
I am trying to calculate how long it will take me to drive from where I live to where Ruth lives in order that I might stroke Samuella Beckett’s and Bob’s heads.
Don and I just went to the county fair where we saw Samuella’s cousin full grown. My my, the hairdo gets more pronounced in the months’ ahead. Bob seems to be rare - the only one of his Frenchie kind in these here parts. Didn’t see any of his relatives.
Sheila, let me know your ETA, and I’ll have coffee on. This is a nice treat seeing my photo here. Thank you.
