serendipity
I was out shooting some night shots last night and took the NikonD80 to use as a light meter for the Yashica, the time was so slow i had to take the digital pic to count the seconds the shutter was open for. I haven’t got a clue if it will work on film until i get it developed. I liked the accident of this; zoom on, camera held out at arms length more than if i’d had it on a tripod.

That’s beautiful, Alek. It looks like an Impressionist painting.
A happy accident, indeed.
This is absolutely marvelous.
Delicious. May I have a copy?
Rick, of course you may have a copy, would you like a big copy or does this one suffice?
yea it does Michael, kind of ‘Renoir lurking in the shadows of a Bonnard’
i like happy accidents and their majikal quality
Alek
I would like to print a small copy (3×5 or 5×7, so this file should do nicely) to put in a frame to have in the house–specifically on my nightstand so I can look at it first thing each morning and last thing each evening, to remind me I move in the world and the world moves around me.
I love that I’m not at center. (BTW this is me you’ve captured, not that you knew that in the moment.) I also love that I appear to be looking away from center. For me, hoping, longing to see more.
P.S: I love my hat.
Rick, you want i send you your hat?
Thanks Alek, sweet offer. I suspect it belongs better with you.
