The DNA of Voting
Research has suggested that political orientation can partly be attributed to genes. A new study suggests that whether or not a person votes, regardless of affiliation, may be greatly influenced by DNA.
Using the genetic data in this study, Fowler and Dawes found that 72 percent of differences in voter turnout among identical twins can be accounted for by genes.
