Have you ever drank a beer in the shower?

My neighbor claims that nothing is more refreshing, but I forgot to ask, hot shower or cold?

    Andrew has, I know, since he took a picture of it. Which then inspired my husband…I got knocked up before I could get around to it, but it’s definitely on my list of fun things to do post-partum. Right up there with sushi and lemon drop martinis.

    (I’ve consumed champagne as well as martinis in the bath…do I get partial credit?)

    Quite a lot. A cool shower, but not cold. This is usually reserved for hot days and manual labour.

    In winter, there’s nothing finer than hot custard in a hot shower…

    Somehow I have a hard time taking this seriously. What kind of beer would one drink in the shower? A lager? A stout?

    Hells yah. And then while you’re at it, you can poor beer in your hair as conditioner. Coffee in the shower is also nice.

    It’s like somebody was reading my mind. And the picture Erin was referencing is here and it was in her shower said picture was taken.

    I do it quarterly. I thinkI first did this in college as some form of faux-life hack/productivity thing, but it’s stuck around over the last few years.

    Temperature of the water is very important. It needs to be brisk but not too cold. The water should be slightly warmer than the required cold beer. The whole experience is for utmost refreshment. Ice water isn’t refreshing.

    @DaveVogt - Whatever beer you like to drink should be fine in the shower. Must remain in the bottle.

    @Clusterflockers - Has anyone had a liquor drink in the shower? Baths don’t count.

    I have also smoked in the shower before. The trick is to cup the cigarette with the hand you don’t lather with.

    places I drank champagne this weekend:
    a bottle on thursday night at karaoke with splashes of cranberry! in each glass!
    a glass on friday on board a pirate ship which sailed around big bear lake.
    a bottle when we got to the BBQ restaurant. the waitress looked shocked.
    half a bottle before dinner just now at the mountain bear brewery.

    I miss you guys. The internet here is weird. Good stories for monday though.

    Champagne and BBQ, huh? I like it! I’ve found a cozy diner behind a tiny marina in Daytona that allegedly serves mimosas. Next time I’m brunching sans family, it’s mimosas with my eggs, fish and grits. Oh em gee.
