Dear Clusterflock

Nobody lays it out like Bill Clinton.

Update: Where was this John Kerry four years ago?

You know, there are lots of things about this contest and this convention that make me very happy to have lived long enough to see it all. I just saw an elderly African American man weeping as he listened to Joe Biden’s speech, and I couldn’t imagine how it must feel for him to hear a man like Biden speak before so many on behalf of a man who wouldn’t have been allowed to use the same restroom less than fifty years ago. Sure, it can all fail–the whole country can fail, but it’s good to see what happens when some people step up with the balls to set aside the easy dip-shit deny-bigotry-and-secretly-vote-the-other-way mess of America, to say what’s right, even if weakness masquerading as strength “wins” the doom it deserves.
