From the comments: Deron Bauman
I’m already dressed up as the web site.
Me too, Deron! You brought this beautiful place. And I think whatever one may see of me here is as honest a rendition of me that may be seen in the world.
Might it not be so for the rest of you?

thank you, Rick. that’s very sweet of you! I’m sure my outfit is actually pretty disheveled and I think there’s gravy on the tie. oh, and the wrinkles. sorry about the wrinkles.
and the smell
I try to be myself, always.
And yet, moderation in all things.
Why? What have you heard?
I have to wear a clip-on anchor tag. I can never tie a hyperlink correctly.
Been linking my name to my online expressions of myself more and more of late. I’m not sure whether I’ll regret this in 5 years, but then, that’s the question at the heart of every choice, ain’t it.
This is a lovely online neighborhood; whether waving hello or just watching y’all chat down on the stoop, it feels like a good place to be.

I’m not sayin’ I come away from here, on any given visit, with my clothes clean, (if I still have them on at all.) It’s just that we tolerate a spot of broth on a tie, yes? And the smell is like chocolate chip cookies on Midwest Airlines.

Somewhere through the grapevine, I heard your legs are hairy like sasquatch’s and scare people from a distance. And you bring the snacks.
mmmm, chocolate chip cookies.
