“good morning…now get the hell out of here”
At around six this morning I walked Izzy from our room to hers so I could change her diaper. While standing at her dresser I noticed some flashing lights and I walked her over to take a look and see what was going on.
We live directly across the street from a new condo development. This is how it looked when I opened the blinds:

Very shortly after we were told to grab what we could and leave.

by the way we’re back home now
Oh, Michael, how terrible! You’ve had more than your share of fires to deal with this summer.
I’m glad the three of you are okay. You can tell Izzy about the adventure in a couple of years!
thank goodness you’re okay! I hope there was no damage to your place.
Thank you, Michael, both for the post and for telling us that you and the family are safe. This will now become a story to tell the lovely Izabella.
Our house is in good shape thanks to Sac Metro Fire – no damage. I’m happy to say that most of my neighbors (the ones who have moved in anyway) have little to no damage as well. Those closest to the blaze had some cracked windows and melted plastics but the worst damage to occupied homes was done when the firefighters busted in some doors to check to make sure nobody was inside. As for the condos that burnt down, I guess the builder will have to start all over now.
Oh…and they arrested two kids…or, I should say, they detained two kids who were seen “vandalizing” the structures just before the fire.
Maybe the builder will start with the sprinkler system next time.
At first I thought this might be another one of CF’s patented joke posts. I’m glad you are all safe and back in your home.
