Polaroids, don’t call it a comeback
Polaroid is looking for suggestions from Amateur Photography readers
We expect Polaroid to launch a lower-end ZINK-enabled camera, also producing 2×3in prints, this winter (though Polaroid has yet to announce this officially).
In an exclusive interview with AP, Polaroid bosses said they want readers to ‘define the next generation Polaroid PoGo ProSeries’ cameras.

Two thoughts. First, I thought the whole reason Polaroid is still popular is for its lo-fi simplicity. Those hip Polaroid photographers aren’t impressed with the thought of OMG-instant-prints; they seek the beautiful distortion of a single, cheap lens (Loma-like) and the rigor imposed by a infinity-focused, square frame. Second (and this is nit-picky), heat-sensitive paper? I’ve seen how those heat-printed receipts fare after a day or two in the car. Cheap as they are, Polaroid prints hold up fairly well. And they’re so lovely.
