McCain looks like he’s speaking in front of a blue screen (was green for a while). Someone didn’t check out that TV angle, I guess. I keep expecting the 5-day forecast.

    It was odd, during the commentary on Fox News (we can’t resist), to hear strains of Journey ringing through the event hall.

    Daryl, you just reminded me which memory the endless repetition of the McCain POW story has been tickling: Christopher Walken’s watch story in Pulp Fiction.

    [Disclaimer: I geddit, that he was imprisoned and mistreated during the war. That's why he's stridently calling for the end of "enhanced interrogation tactics", indefinite detention of "enemy combatants" and the closure of the legal no-man's-land that is Guantanamo Bay. Right? Right?]
