a thought or a question

I’m surprised by how actions and their consequences can become physical presences, sitting in a corner and haunting the room. and if they are a presence do they inhabit a parallel universe when they’re not haunting this one?

It seems to me that we all ‘haunt’ different places, as our attention gets moved around. Midtown Manhattan is a really amazing actual human physical example of that kind of haunting and parallel universes. A busy train station, or airport, also. I find that train stations are usually more frenetic though, so it seems to work better.

there was a train that ran from Athens to Belgrade it took 2 days, had corridors down the side, compartments and a buffet car that served baklava and kadaifi,

The longest train journey I took was from Chicago to New York on Amtrak. All the crazy interesting people were in the smoking car and the seats were big and comfy,
