Yes, Sheila–the speaker was a woman who was relating a story to another woman. I wanted to hear more but it would have been obvious that I was trying to, so I plan to just finish the story myself. I think there has to be another kind of last stand in the works–perhaps including a tall man wearing a coonskin hat who drives a tour bus.
