I’ve landed a spot as a blogger for the Pittsburgh Symphony.  In exchange for drawing and writing a bit, I can get tickets for most performances, and I’ve been taking full advantage of this, as you can imagine.  (Here are a few scenes from this past fall.)

Congrats on that coup! Marvelous. Free tickets.

And another lovely drawing, of course.

Just looked at “last fall.” Delicious! The powerful sensation of “wish-I’d-been-there” washes over me. Still, I feel as though I were.

Thanks. It’s been wonderful, reveling in music I’ve never heard live before now – and what a difference.

The gig came about because Pittsburgh has an active and social blogging community – and some of our local institutions have begun to realize that getting bloggers talking is a good idea, leads to great good will, maybe some conversations, maybe some extra links for Google to notice. So every so often someone extends the offer of tickets… the word is spread, and we turn up to cover things. Since I draw for my blog more than I write, I don’t feel as if I’m compromising my opinions any.
