Doogie Howser

Coudal reminded me that SNL, hosted by Neil Patrick Harris, this past weekend was really fantastic.

I think it’s amusing that someone can say, “Something on SNL last night was hilarious” and the next day you can’t go to two websites without seeing a link to a video of it.

Ha! What can I say? The internet is a culture of echoes.

I will admit that I don’t get that.

    No idea at all.

Kris, if you don’t get it because you don’t know the frame of reference, Harris is playing the theme song to the television series he starred in back in the 1980s, “Doogie Howser, MD.” He played a teenage doctor, a genius who graduated from medical school at age 14. Let’s just say that it didn’t air on PBS.

I think the SNL performance can be funny only to people who remember the (long-gone) series. It cracks me up.

I was wondering what it was all about, it was like the first time I saw the Wiener Aktionismus (without all the piss and blood, of course).

That was a good Digital Short. All in all, last Saturday’s might have been one of the better SNL shows in a long time. Harris is a good host and he can handle the material and fit in. Some of the hosts just can’t get the timing right.
