Reading ‘Self-Consciousness’, instead of watching the kids, really changed my life as an 17-year-old babysitter.

Not to imply any harm fell to the kids, I just made some different life choices.

“Rabbit” angst. Has anyone on this blog read any of Udike’s “Rabbit “books and what did you think of them ?

I’ve only read some of the early stories.

i pretty much grew up with the Rabbit books…

makes a difference in how they’re viewed, i believe, as opposed to reading them out of generation.

    could just be me, however…

John Updike’s passing is sad, but he left a ton of awesome work. “Immortality is nontransferrable” he said appropriately.
