Jordan (and others), I live practically down the road from the DIckeyville Grotto and have made a couple of pilgrimages. If you do visit the site, be sure to wander back to the Patriotism Shrine, a construction inspired by Christopher Columbus. Among the detritus encrusting the Patriotism Shrine you'll find all manner of wonderful smashed crockery, including at least one souvenir plate from the World's Columbian Exposition (the Chicago World's Fair of 1893).

I've seen signs for the Dickeyville Grotto on the many occasions I've passed through Dickeyville, but never taken the time to stop. Will have to remedy that.

Well, Rick there are all manner of saints you can purchase, even a saint Raymond and if you are looking for your own personal Jesus then this is the place for you.

There was obviously some sort of divine intervention on this day as the shop is usually closed this time of year, but, it was open. I managed to pick up a nice red headed Jesus wearing lipstick, blusher and a sacred heart. I feel things here on in could be interesting!
