I’m so excited.

I found out only yesterday that the great Ralph Stanley is playing in Bath tonight as part of the Bath International Music Festival. I was convinced it would be sold out, but, no!

I do have a problem sitting still if things go on too long, but, he is cracking on, so hopefully he’ll need to be in bed early. I also have a major problem with encores. I always want to scream “just sing the last song and go!”

I shall report back.

It was fucking brilliant – a little snippet for you. Listen!

    This reminds me!

I meant to play some of my favorite blues guitarist at the ‘stock. Mm, blues and the lazy heat of north Texas countryside.

    I love Bluegrass.

This made me want to get up and dance like Jed Clampett, but I refrained from doing so.

A show of hands of those who wanted to get up and dance like Jed Clampett or Granny?

Did Jed Clampett do that kind of stiff-hipped leg-flailing kind of dancing? In other words, did he not let his backbone slip?

I won’t dance under any circumstances, well, almost any.

Deron, it was a fab evening. Charlie Parr was on first, I’ll tell you what, that guy can play!

Brandon, I do remember Jed Clampett – might give it a go on my own. My dancin’ really kicks ass when I’m on my own.

Dancing is a weird, uncomfortable thing. Watching people dance is crippling for me. I don’t know why this is so.
