The lately mourned John Polidori was fortunate enough to see The Vampyre into print before his untimely demise, but is there any hope for the publication of his sketchbook?
Polidori's antipathy to Percy Bysshe Shelley is apparent in this late drawing.

That was a bad crowd — up to all manner of malarkey and tomfoolery. Continental sympathies. Not proper Englishmen and -women.
