The lately mourned John Polidori was fortunate enough to see The Vampyre into print before his untimely demise, but is there any hope for the publication of his sketchbook?

    It was Shelley’s ‘sky-larking’ brought him to a bad end, I’m thinking.

    That was a bad crowd — up to all manner of malarkey and tomfoolery. Continental sympathies. Not proper Englishmen and -women.
