A Matter of Taste

This post reminded me of how sometimes some foods have tastes that remind me of other things.

For example:

  1. black tea with milk and sugar = artichoke hearts
  2. salted, roasted cashews = band aids
  3. fresh banana = bubble gum

Oh, I love this! Here are some of my odd associations:

    1. Skunk smell = bologna with lemon juice

    2. Malted milk balls = baby birds’ open mouths

I know I have lots of others, I just can’t think right now. I’ll be back!

As a kid hot tarmac reminded me of food – I just can’t remember what.

When in Crete and the Carob tree is in flower I am told by lots of people it smells like semen. I can’t even smell it.

Now I wasn’t aware semen had a smell and I’m certainly not claiming it is food.

    Yes, more.
