What happened to cartoon network?

A new Andrew W.K. project. It looks really great, actually. Despite my confusion as to how Andrew W.K., Cartoon Network and the concept all came together. Thanks to the re-tweeting of Jesse Thorn.

I’m never sure how Andrew W.K. accomplishes anything. I never saw partying as a particularly effective means to any end except maybe buttworking*.

A load of shite I will watch.

I like the way the clip makes it seem that there are little girls just as stoked as I am about blowing things up and making a mess. Not that I want to make this about feminism, but maybe I don’t need to feel like I have to describe myself as a “5 year old boy” but rather, just a “5 year old.”

“Destruction is fun,” as a building contractor once said to me.

I wonder if those kids have to attend Explosives Camp first . . .

Okay, I want to go to Explosives Camp.

Or maybe take up a collection so we can send Mary.

India, you may have just opened a new career path for me!

I blame my parents for not having heard about Explosives Camp sooner.

Remember all of those soldiers they trotted out to watch A-bomb tests? And the H-bomb tests in the Pacific that made those little ships look like the kind you get in cereal boxes to float in the bathtub? So here’s the question: considering what we know now about just how dangerous that was for the viewers–would you volunteer to see such a thing from that distance if you had the chance to now? I’m afraid I would.
