Here comes The 2 Train
So I’d like to introduce you to The 2 Train: my new band! The 2 Train is me, Lucy Foley (voice), and Ross Bonadonna (guitar). We play a mixture of jazz, pop and bossa nova. This past March, Ross and I recorded a bunch of songs by the fireplace here in Clare, and this is how it turned out.
We’re also busy making my first album in a frenzy of passion and nerditude. We’re about three quarters way through the record now, it’s a pure labour of love. It also sounds completely different to this project: the songs are all my own, and Ross and I are bringing them to life in Wombat Recording, Brooklyn. Clusterflock will be the first to know, as soon as it’s done. In the meanwhile, I hope you enjoy The 2 Train.

So I listened a couple of days ago, and I’m-a tell you, people, you wanna go now and listen to Our Lucy and Mr. Ross.
Thanks for putting this up!
yay!!!
My bra straps are now famous on the internet.
Very exciting!
Is it one of those Marks & Spencer bras that you like, Lucy?
um… (yes.)
See, if we were to integrate all of our Extracurricular Communication here at clusterflock, the masses could be privy to clustergirl conversations about our underwear.
And we do some of us talk amongst ourselves about our underwear.
I’m with India on this one.
Me, too.
I mean, I’m aware that I’ve gone public when I tweet or when I blather about something on Facebook or post loads of things on Flickr, so in that sense consolidating it all via clusterflock would not feel like an invasion of anything like privacy. But I do like to maintain different personas and contexts even in public, and I figure that those who want to know about anything of that mess can follow the clues I drop here at HQ.
I do understand that there are ways and there are ways, that clusterflock needn’t go all noisy, but I think the sort of integration we seem to be considering is best left to individuals and to how they wish to construct their own blogs.
@lucy Those little pink bows are pretty cute.
You see? It would start creeping over into the comments. And we like to keep those on a high intellectual plane.
Well, high intellectual hot air balloons, at least. Hopefully with great views.
I think I need some steam heat on my clothes. I better get some sugar in my bowl.
Since I only listen to MySpace and Last.fm while at the office, it’s been a pleasure working to the 2 Train all week. Thanks for it, Lucy!
Oh that is so great to hear, Kelsey.
Lucy, I listened the other night on legitimate Wi-Fi and loved it, but, wanted to give the songs another listen before I said anything.
Really beautiful, really.
Thank you.
Cool, Phil!
You know, I have a version of Hounds of Love that we did in that session, but I haven’t uploaded it. I am very keen to share it, though, without getting sued.
I’ve taken brief break from the full sized internet and only just now gave a quick listen. I’m very excited to sit down and give it a real listen…what I’ve heard is terrific.
I thought you mentioned Kate Bush in your first annoucement. It wasn’t in the “playlist.” Given your reasons above, I now know why. I would love to hear your take or elaboration on it. If you feel you can share.
